I appreciate how serious the team at FanDuel takes this issue, as it’s one of personal importance to me. September has been announced as Responsible Gaming Education Month by the AGA, and gambling operators across the country have contributed to these efforts in several ways.

FanDuel, a well-known brand in the sports betting and casino gambling space, has also decided to further its RG efforts by signing Amanda Serrano, a boxing champion, as the latest responsible gaming ambassador.

Serrano is joining Craig Carton in this role, and the two will embark on a “FanDuel/Craig Carton College Tour” this coming fall, with scheduled stops at many campuses in the US. Carton accepted a multi-year extension of his agreement with the operator and will continue in his role as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador.

Talking about the upcoming tour, Carton expressed his eagerness to continue raising awareness about the problem gambling, and he will do do that during the upcoming tour, where he will talk to young adults and share his experiences with them.

Amanda Serrano already has a working relationship with FanDuel as the company sponsors her fights, but she will now take on a role as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador with the operator. Besides working closely with Carton, Serrano will produce several responsible gaming announcements for the company in English and Spanish.

Commenting on her new role, Serrano said:

“I am delighted to be joining FanDuel and Craig as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador. I appreciate how serious the team at FanDuel takes this issue, as it’s one of personal importance to me. Being able to use my platform to advocate to sports fans a play well lifestyle is something I’m proud to be a part of.”

These efforts are all part of the FanDuel Play Well initiative, which aims to encourage customers to play within their limits and never chase losses. The operator will actively seek to raise awareness of various responsible gaming tools available on the platform, allowing customers to set their deposit and wagering limits, the time spent playing, and more.

FanDuel will also donate $100,000 to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG). The money will help fund the research aimed at a better understanding of gambling behaviors, with the goal of developing enhanced RG tools and programs.

The move was praised by Arthur Paikowsky, the ICRG president, who said that the donation would go a long way towards funding the important research work in the responsible gaming department in the months and years to come.

FanDuel has taken a serious approach to responsible gaming. The company’s RG and Compliance team now has over 100 employees. The team is tasked with developing and maintaining RG tools and programs to help customers all year round.

All customers have access to several tools designed to help them keep their gambling habits in check, including deposit limits, total and maximum wager size limits, as well as time limits. There is also the self-exclusion option, which, once activated, excludes the customer from all FanDuel platforms and products across the country.

These customers can also take advantage of a free Gamban license provided by the operator, which will prevent them from accessing offshore betting and gambling sites as well.
