[The tipline] provides individuals an anonymous way to help them deal with physical threats, harm, and/or emotional abuse from fans related to gambling. US Integrity announced that it has formed a partnership with RealResponse to launch a tipline where callers can anonymously report issues related to sports betting in the USA.

According to US Integrity, the tipline — officially, “Athlete Alert Powered by RealResponse” — will serve as a resource for professional and college athletes, coaches, trainers, support staff, and others to report problems with fans who are angry or upset they lost while betting on sporting events, helping players gamble responsibly.

The tipline “provides individuals an anonymous way to help them deal with physical threats, harm, and/or emotional abuse from fans related to gambling,” US Integrity and RealResponse said in a joint statement.

“Similarly, it is an anonymous and safe place for those participants to share their experiences and information related to corruption and integrity-related concerns such as the misuse of insider information, match-fixing, game manipulation, and/or illegal wagering.”

The tipline can be reached by texting 843-USI-TIPS (843-874-7477).

Co-founder and CEO of US Integrity Matthew Holt said protecting the health and well-being of both pro and student-athletes was paramount and that it was his firm’s job to help protect them and preserve the integrity of sporting events.

Holt called the implementation of the tipline “another example of how we help our partners to stay one step ahead of any bad actors. An anonymous text to 843-USI-TIPS can help limit and prevent acts or threats of physical and emotional harm or intimidation — while thwarting attempts to undermine the integrity of sports competitions.”

RealResponse founder and CEO David Chadwick concurred.

“Athlete Alert Powered by RealResponse is simple and easy to use, and it confidentially elevates the voice of professional and student-athletes and the others who are the closest to competition,” Chadwick said. “Putting tools like 843-USI-TIPS in the hands of participants and competitors protects and enhances the integrity and purity of competition while ensuring their anonymity and safety.”

Las Vegas-based US Integrity analyzes changes in betting data to help identify suspicious behavior. Discrepancies could be an indicator of player, coach, or officiating abnormalities or signal the misuse of insider information.

Meanwhile, Charlotte-based RealResponse provides a safe and confidential way to provide feedback from athletes to athletic directors and administrators. The firm has created a comprehensive documentation repository through its work with more than 50,000 athletes. Its partners include the NFL Players Association and USA Gymnastics.

“The US Integrity-RealResponse partnership provides those closest to athletic competitions with a direct line of communication to officials who can swiftly verify information and then elevate concerns to law enforcement, regulatory bodies as well as those responsible for creating and maintaining fair play and competition,” the firms said in their joint statement.

May has been a busy month for US Integrity. On May 2, it formed a partnership with Betfred for its operations in the US. Specifically, the firm will provide the UK-based operator with integrity monitoring services through its proprietary dashboard. Betfred is live in ten US states.

One week later, US Integrity announced it would expand its existing partnership with another sports betting operator, Coolbet. With the expansion, US Integrity agreed to provide its services — event monitoring, market intelligence, fraud prevention, and integrity services — through its dashboard to Coolbet for its expansion into Estonia, Malta, Mexico, and Sweden.
